Try this on a rainy, chlly day/night and it will help chase the gloom away. Love it!

My family loved this soup. Tomato soup is not the most popular type of soup in my family, but this recipe might change that. I made it minus the croutons and yogurt. I served it with garlic bread on the side so the kids could dip it in the soup. I only used one jalepeno, but that's because I'm not a big heat kind of girl.
Thanks for the recipe! The next time I make it I will be serving it with Provolone Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I think that would make a great combo.

I now have a new favorite method to use all those garden tomatoes I get in the summer! I roast the tomatoes and whatever peppers, onions, herbs, I have on hand and follow the recipe for roasting. The food mill is another favorite too. I can make so much soup or sauce from this recipe. FABULOUS Guy!

I absolutely love this soup - the jalapenos add a great kick. I used a walnut/wheat bread for the croutons which added a great texture to the soup. Perfect for a cold night!

I read the recipe and was certain that the canned tomatos were a substitution for the fresh and that is the way I made it. Quantity was fine, however I made a second batch after I included the peppers in the first batch. Way too hot for a large gathering. Both batches got rave reviews. I would cut way down on the pepper if the guests/family are not lovers of all things HOT.
Very easy and result was a rustic, hearty, flavor packed meal. We served it with sour cream in addition to the yogurt and a grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing.

Best tomato soup I've ever tasted. I have a salt restriction but this recipe doesn't need it. I highly recommend you try it with the croutons and sour cream if you can't find the yogurt.

My family loved this soup and said it was the best tomato soup they ever had, and we eat a lot of tomato soup! It made a lot, but it worked out great because I froze the rest and used it as a pasta sauce later. Awesome both ways.

I made this soup without the recommended croutons and yogurt. I also left the milk out of the soup, but it was still fantastic. It smells wonderful while it is carmelizing in the oven and tastes great. It has just the right amount of heat.

This soup has a terrific bold tomato flavor with good garlic undertones. I used one jalapeno and the heat was perfect for our tates.

The tomatoes took forever in the oven and did not carmalize. I used only one 28 oz can of tomatoes and had a huge pot of soup. Instead of running to the store for chives and yogurt, I used cilantro and sour cream. Garlic croutons are the crowning touch.
