I have to say there have only been a few of Rachel's recipes I liked and heaven knows they take me a lot longer than 30 minutes. I didn't think this was all that great until I got a bite of it with a raisin in it. It gives just the flavor I thought was missing. If you are going to try this, add more raisins, at least double that measurement if not triple. It is the one ingredient that gives the balance and flavor to the dish. I'll make this again. My husband loved it.

i made this dish and it took an HOUR AND A HALF to make. my rice was finished before the chicken was. i followed the recipe to the letter and it wound up very soupy and greasy (i used boneless/skinless breast and thigh meat. i don't think i'll be making this recipe again.

I cook some pretty good dinners, according to my family and friends. But, I must say that after 13 years of marriage this was the very first dinner that my husband said he was sorry, he just could not eat this. I had to agree with him, as did the kids, which wasn't too surprising.

I love this dish. Not only is it easy, but it's delishious. It has a unique flavor - more of an adult dish. Absolute perfect comfort food on a cold wintery night.

what a wonderful way to make chicken exciting! I did change a couple of ingredients (I used peanuts instead of the almonds for example, just because of what I had on hand. Delicious!
