Okay, my wife was very leery about me trying a new stuffing recipe... So we compromised and decided to try it before putting it out on the table for thanksgiving. I decided to make it in a casserole being as though many of the other reviews I read had said "the muffin's fell apart" and also, we found it to be a bit easier if everyone just served themselves their desired portion. I have to say this stuffing is AWESOME!!!!! It has that "from the turkey" taste and moisture associated with it, the apples in the stuffing were warm and subtly sweet.. As for my wife (the critic she has jumped on the Apple and Onion Stuffing band wagon and has agreed to pridefully place this dish onto our thanksgiving menu!! We know this dish will be a thanksgiving homerun!!!! Thank you Rachel Ray!!!!!

This recipe made stuffing fans out of the pickiest eaters. Every Thanksgiving I'm asked to bring them. I add either craisins or dried cherries, depending on what I have around... also been known to add chopped pecans.

Excellent and easy. Made it today so I could try it out before I bring it for thanksgiving dinner. Added raisins and it is yum.

I love this recipe! I made them as is and found that the "muffins" didn't really stay together. In the future, I'll make this as a traditional stuffing in a single pan.
I also exchanged the chicken broth for vegetable broth to make it vegetarian.

I made these several years ago, and they are now my only stuffing recipe for Thanksgiving! Thank you, Rachel, for helping me create a "new" tradition!

I made these a few years back and they were a huge hit! Everyone got their favorite - a crusty top. I used seasoned stuffing mix so no poultry spices needed. They were baked in silicone muffin "tins" and they slipped out without a problem. These muffins are a staple for our Thanksgiving dinner forever more.

What a terriffic idea!!! I will make this for sure. I will grate the apples and add a beaten egg to avoid them to fall apart. I love this idea of making the muffins because i never use it as stuffing. It is ideal to make them with the leftovers. I always make plenty.

These were good.....I liked the apple and felt it needed more, actually. I will make again, but not as muffins because it's gimmicky and unnecessary. It takes a lot more time to get all the muffin cups in the pan filled properly than just putting the whole mixture into a casserole pan and cook off.
