I made this as a first time addition to our x-mas dinner and it was the hit of the meal. Really easy but a lot of flavor! It also reheats very well.

It was OK at the best. Very Very Very bland...I added lots of season salt and used twice as many herbs and added pepper - maybe i'm just not a gratin fan - but good recipe in any case.

Potatoes came out in a bath of cream. They were done... but very bland.

Made this for the first time for my families Thanks giving dinner. Had to substitute the potato mix for baby reds - the varieties were not available.
I was counting on leftovers and had none - seconds and thirds on this dish were the norm. Everyone raved and it is now our most requested side dish.
Thanks for an excellent and EASY recipe.

I had never made gratin like this before. The herb and garlic infused butter and cream was amazingly good. The use of the fingerlings cut in half was a great idea for quick cooking. I used a handful of Romano and a handful of Parm and let it bake away. My husband LOVED it and has nearly finished all the leftovers. What an impressive looking dish that tastes like you slaved away for hours on it! Thanks Rachael!

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving last year and we barely had leftovers the next day. The fresh herbs really infuse wonderful flavor into the dish and I will definitely be making this again this year.

I tried this recipe for a small family dinner. It tasted soooo good. Everyone loved it. It did take a little longer to cook than expected, but it was well worth the wait. Don't skimp on heavy cream!
