What a quick, easy, tastey dessert!

I had to subsitute angel food cake and almond syrup as my grocery store did not have sponge cake or vanilla syrup. I think the angel food cake probably lightened the recipe a bit. I cut about 2 inches off the top of the angel food cake. Using the top part that I removed, I broke off a piece to fill in the hole. I would definelty make it again.

I had to use the small sponge cakes but the grocery store had sliced strawberries and blueberries together in containers so I bought them (saving time as Rachael always suggests :> . I placed the strawberries upright in a ring around the pudding and piled the blueberries in the middle. Looked really special! Looked good enough for the 4th of July! Good work once again, Rachael!

Went together in a jiffy. The rum and vanilla syrup added subtle flavor without making the sponge cake soggy. Looked beautiful and tasted great. I had to go to 3 supermarkets before I finally found the large size dessert shell, but finally found it at the Big Y.

I have all the ingredients for this tart EXCEPT the shell. It's very easy to find the individual sponge cake shells, but not the large ones.
I even tried two Italian gourmet shops.
Can someone please let me know where they found a 7 in. cake shell?
    Thanks.
