Absolutely amazing flavor in this dish! I love hummus and eggplant although I've never tried babaganoush, so I gave this one a go. Wow, simply delicious. I didn't have any wholewheat pasta on hand, but I have used it in other dishes; I don't like the texture very much. It seems like it's not cooked all the way. This is a wonderful pasta dish for vegetarians or for carnivores who want to cut down on meat once in a while.

I loved this recipe. My husband is vegan and it is always a pain to figure out dinner. The flavor was fantastic. I could not wait for lunch the next day so I could have more. I am making it tonight but an serving it over couscous.

I really enjoyed this recipe, who wouldn't ? PASTA!!! I found that the sauce was just a bit to thick, so the next time I make it, I will add a little of the pasta water. No one in my family likes chick peas except for me; they never knew that they were in there. Thanks RR

The sauce is GREAT! Just not on the pasta...I love whole wheat pasta, but this combination was too starchy and feels funky in your mouth. On her episode of 'chickpeas. Thank you', she made this dish along with the "for-pita's-sake" salad. Make this salad, but instead of ripping up the pita, do her spice recipe to two whole pita's. Top with the sauce and the salad...oh my gosh! It's heavenly and so healthy!!!

I thought this was an odd combination and it looked different . However it was so tasty !!! I loved the flavors mixed together . I added a medium onion and cooked with the garlic in the beginning. Much more than the four servings it says . Great meal and lots of protein and Omega 3 with whole wheat pasta!!

love or hate.. not everything is meant to be mixed with pasta!!! I happen to like Hummus and I love whole grain pasta and I do not eat meat. So, knowing that this was pretty nutrional I pretty much forced myself to eat it.. And actually after a couple of bites I got used to the flavours. BUT with that said, Hummus and noodles.... not the best combo... looked like baby poop.... would never serve it for my friends... I added the juice of the lemon as well and some parmesan cheese. I am a runner and can always use the protein and grains... so ONLY for the nutrititional benefit I did I eat it.. I think there is no between, you will hate or love it... try it out first before serving it to friends...

I usually love Rachael Ray's recipes. This one, however, is a complete miss. I had to add tomato paste to try to give it color, because it looked grey. No one at home liked it. With all due respect, I think this one needs to be retired. I really wanted to like it, but, no go.

I love this recipe. It tastes great and gives you lasting energy. It makes a good amount and leftovers reheat nicely. I like to add some fresh tomato after I've reheated it.

I looked at the ingredients and thought it was a completely odd combination. But it TOTALLY works! I left out the pasta water; I prefer creamier sauces. So tasty!!!
