This is my lunch staple, I use apple cider vinegar because I didn't have red wine and it still tastes wonderful. Also, I make the cheese crips with sharp cheddar instead of swiss.

I give this recipe a 4 1/2. I used oranges instead of apples and it came out extremely well. It goes great with the dressing. I don't really care for spinach, so next time I will use lettuce, but it was still very good.

This is a beautiful salad, colorful and "yummoh" on the taste buds. Just a bit of zip with the crunch and beautiful colors.

I have played with the original a bit though. I shave fresh parmigiano reggiano into it and add slivered almonds. I omit the Swiss crisps. The combination of apple, cheese, the vinaigrette sounds unusual but is fantastic. This has become my "entertaining" salad and my last guests offered to lick the bowl clean, literally! :-

This recipe was really easy to bring together and was super quick.

Even the boys liked it and they are not salad people!

I use the swiss cheese crisps in most salads now - it's quick, easy and delish!

The salad was very good. The swiss cheese crisps were a took a couple tries to get it right. The dressing was a little tart but adding a little honey made the dressing excellent.

The salad was ok. I did not care for the dressing, but the swiss cheese crisps are a great idea.

This was a delicious addition to the whole meal, instead of red wine vinegar I picked up balsamic vinegar by accident and it was AWESOME.
