Great recipe that everyone raves about! I use turkey bacon rather than pancetta. One of my faves!

Very good recipe! Pancetta is rather expensive tho so the second time I made it, I used plain old bacon and it was just as great. No wait, it was even better because it was cheaper!

I doctored the recipe up a little - only had 2 oz of pancetta so used 3 strips of precooked bacon to help. I added 1/2 an onion early to carmelize just a little, threw in 2 cooked chicken breasts I had leftover from the night before, and added a cup of peas to the pasta with 4 minutes left to cook.

Turned out great, maybe just a little heavy on the garlic (used 6 cloves - and I love garlic, but it was a little overpowering. With all the add ins, we had more like 7-8 servings.

I chose this recipe as opposed to a true carbonara to keep it a little less fatty. Many call for 1/2 to 1/2 cups of cream, more egg yolks, and maybe even butter. While I don;t think this is low fat, it is certainly a better choice, AND it is "delish" - can't believe I said that...

I've been getting tired of the same old chicken recipes. This was a hit with my husband! It was so easy to whip up. I added chicken breast while I was sauteing the garlic. I also added some sundried tomato. It turned out so delish!!! Thank you Rachel Ray from a fellow Adirondacker!

I usually never care for Rachael Ray's stuff... but this is pretty incredible. Serve the wine you used in the recipe and enjoy this heavy, creamy, delicious pasta.

This was super fast and easy as well as versatile! I've added sliced brussels sprouts in with the pancetta and some toasted pinenuts after plating and it was terrific! I'll try it with broccoli next time. Delish!

These days finding a meal that will feed a family of 7 on a tight budget is extremely difficult. This one is not only economical, it's healthy and delicious...even my two picky children (ages 10 & 11 loved it. Thank you, Rachel! This is a keeper. I will absolutely make this again!

I love this recipe!!! It's simple and delicious, just like authentic carbonara should be! Bacon works well, if pancetta is not available. This is true comfort food!!!

I have made this several times, works well with regular bacon too. Easy to make and such a wonder simplistic taste.

I've tried many recipes and this is my favorite. You can use any style pasta you want.
