These are not only the best green beans going...they are undoubtedly the easiest, too. Fresh beans, canned beans, frozen beans.....and any kind of bacon. You just cannot go wrong. For those who find the vinegar to be too strong...try Rice Wine Vinegar. Simply fabulous!

The first time I made these I used frozen green beans. (The beans in the store were bad looking. I cooked them first in the microwave (they were in a steamer pouch. I didn't add the vinegar or sugar.

The second time I made the beans, I used fresh beans and I followed the recipe. I used about a teaspoon of red wine vinegar and I used baking sugar because that's what I had. These beans turned out great!

These are incredible...and incredibly easy! I substitute rice vinegar for the other kind...it is milder and adds a wonderful taste!

This was a great recipe. I used the cider vinegar. I also used canned green beans instead of fresh b/c that is what I had. It turned out soooo good. This is my "go to" recipe for green beans.

Did amend down the amount of vinegar to taste. Amended the sugar to taste. Bit of salt and pepper to taste. Maybe a bit of onion with bacon next time. Used regular bacon and jalapeno bacon combo...yummy..it was a hit.
