I did this for Easter dinner and everyone loved it. I did steam the asparagus for about 15 minutes before I started to make sure it was well cooked.

The recipe was delicious as is, but since I'm from Wisconsin, I felt compelled to add some more calories to an otherwise healthy vegetable. I sprinkled a pinch of brown sugar on top the bacon during the last three minutes of cooking time. Amazeballs!

Very easy to do & very tasty! I will do this again on special occasions. It's a bestseller! Thanks Rachael Ray!

Awesome - my standard recipe. I add Hollandaise Sauce on top and what a delicious and rich side.

Great tasting!! I had followed another reviewers tip and cooked the bacon to take the chill off and till it started to get slightly wavy. I also used frozen asparagus spears and threw them in the leftover bacon grease to unfreeze them for about 5 min. and then followed the reciped as followed. 5 stars!

This is definitely a dish I would make over and over again. I've made it last week for my family and they totally loved it. I made it together with those recipe I got from Gourmandia sites.. Glad that I found it. :

My husband is on a very low sodium diet (kidney failure, so we only use bacon for something special -- and then it's low-sodium, low fat turkey bacon (not like real bacon, but not bad. I, too, pre-cooked the bacon a bit, and used the oven instead of the grill. Definitely a good side dish; this time I served it with a swiss cheese (only moderately salty and mushroom omelet. Another time I made it for a girl-friends' luncheon with a fancy macaroni and cheese casserole. mmmmmm!

Great, but pre-cook the bacon and then wrap it around the asparagus. This way the bacon is cooked and crisp! Great idea and will do this again soon.
