Absolutely delicious! The spinach and cheese cakes were definitely the highlight! We have 6 kids and they all ate the spinach cheese cakes and requested that I make them again. Even the most picky child (who HATES vegetables ate one and said, "That's not bad." I doubled the recipe and there were no leftovers. Also, when I doubled the recipe, I added one extra egg. Turned out great!

Exquisite is the word we came up with. Fine dining made easy! I followed the recipe exactly - except I had shallots instead of onion - and my husband calls it one of his top 5 favorites! A keeper for sure! YUMM - OH!

I think this is the meal that won my boyfriend over! He's now my husband and he still loves this meal, 8 years later!
Thanks Rachael!

I'm not big on bacon wrapped meat so I only made the spinach cakes. I made them exactly as directed and found that my first batch of patties weren't staying together in the fry pan. Also found that it was too much oil for my taste. So I made the patties thicker and cut the oil in half and the second batch came out perfect. Very good way to hide the flavor of spinach for those in your family that don't like it, My hubby hates spinach but ate these and said they were OK. At least he ate them! Oh - I paired these with Emerill's Creole Mustard Herb Tenderloin recipe and they went well together. Thanks, Rach!

I made this dish a few times and it was so good every time. I make the spinach and cheese cakes with many other dishes.

I made the the steaks for Christmas Eve
dinner for me and my kids. Everyone loved it. The steaks I got were thicker
than the ones in the recipe and I was afraid they would get too charred on the outside if I cooked them on the stovetop, so after I seared them for 2 minutes per side, I put finished them in
the oven. The sauce is great! It was a nice alternative to a traditional Christmas dinner.
