I made the steaks w/the rosemary potatoes instead of the spinach cakes for my fiancee'. he couldn't believe how good they turned out just being cooked in a pan on the stove!!! we will definitely be doing this again...this is a no-mess-up recipe for quality steaks

The spinach cakes were dry and rather tasteless. HOWEVER - I've always loved spinach with vinegar so I took the left overs the next day and served them with a raspberry vinaigrette over the top. Delicious!

I think the concept of the cakes is great, they just needed a little flavor boost. Thanks Rachel.

The Spinach Cakes were wonderful. They were very moist & held together great while they were cooking. The perfect combination of items!

I didn't prepare the spinach cheese cakes but the tenderloin was superb as was the sauce. Rachael will make a cook out of me yet.

so easy to make, so incredible
to eat. This would be a '$40 dollar a piece' steak in a restaurant.

The beef was wonderful - melt in your mouth, excellent sauce.
The spinach cakes were terrible! Too dry, not flavorful. They need garlic for flavor, ricotta cheese for moisture - but I won't try to alter it, I'll just make a different veggie.

A+ on the beef. D on the spinach cakes.
