I always doctor up Bush's baked beans but I never thought to add the fresh parsley. Everyone loved these! Will definitely make it again soon!

my husband wanted baked beans, I remembered a receipe my mom use to make with hot dogs in it, being from pittsburgh,I just thought never would I find anything close, this was it, brown some hot dogs in a fry pan and stick them in simple meal in a hurry. The onion & bacon really kick it up a notch, Loved it!!!!

Excellent recipe, easy and tasty. I added a tablespoon of zingy mustard and a couple teaspoons of apple cider vinegar......made it a bit tangy!

Great fast bean dish-when pressed for time this is the bean recipe to use. A touch of salt from the bacon and the sweet from the sugar-great combo.
    thanks Rach

An added flavor to the baked beans! I did not have parsley, so I substituted with cilantro. Everyone Loved IT! Full of flavor.

This is a nice (slight change from traditional canned baked beans (which I enjoy anyway. I took it to a Superbowl Party and everyone really seemed to love them--I didn't have any leftovers, so that's always a good sign:

To the bottom post, if you need to use a can opener it is not considered a recipe? If you look under the headline it does say 30 minute meals! Just a short cut instead of soaking beans for 24 hours! Relax.

It's pretty sad when doctoring up a can of beans passes as a "recipe." Right up there with her sherbet dessert wherein we are instructed to put 3 scoops in a bowl, or Sandra Lee's soup calling for "a can of condensed soup." Yah, can opener slinging is pretty tough, isn't it?
