I made these for my parents one night and we were all pretty happy. I went with ground turkey because I use chicken pretty often but I think these would be good made several different ways. The fresh orange juice added right at the end is nice. My one complaint was the filling fell out very easily. My mom suggested maybe using Boston Bibb next time.

Four thumbs up!! My husband and I loved it. However, we like a higher proportion of vegetables in our dishes, so I used only ½ lb. of ground white chicken. I poured in ½ jar of Sun Luck hoisin, and I actually forgot the orange! I also used about 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger and about 1 tablespoon of minced garlic instead of the fresher ingredients. Oh, and I used light olive oil instead of veg. oil. It’s easy to make and we will definitely have it again.

I followed the directions exactly except I doubled the amount of hoisin sauce. I was disappointed because all I could taste was the orange zest and ginger. Those flavors were very overpowering. I will completely omit the orange zest if I make this again.

I thought I would really love this, but I didn't :(. I didn't like the flavor of the bell pepper, ginger, or orange. After all the prep work I did it was pretty disappointing! But, the other 3 people who ate it enjoyed it.

I thought there was a little too much liquid for the lettuce cups and would serve it over rice next time. The flavor was really great and I'd definitely make it again. I agree with adding a tiny but more hoisin.

Meh. Ok not that great I wouldn't make it again. If you make it don't please don't use the orange. That aftertaste was gross. It just didn't taste like good chinese food that I would eat. Take out next time...:(
