I thought that good chili had to come from a crock pot or cooking it all day....This recipe proved me WRONG. I did have some substitutes, but you'd never even TELL. I used ground Turkey (fooled my no-ground-turkey-eating mother and chicken broth (didn't have beef handy. I also used jarred jalapenos instead of fresh, no matter. It was DELISH. I definitely will make this again, and double the batch for freezing. I served mine over a small serving of spanish rice, My sister insisted on the recipe and her and my mom fought over the leftovers. GREAT CHILI!

I'm not known as "the friend who can cook", but when I served this for a Sunday brunch- my friends all raved!Everyone had second helpings! The best part is that- it was so easy and it was so delicous! The corn cakes served on top of the chili was unique, delicous,
and totally perfect! I was a star! Thanks to Rachael Ray!

I was having a craving for a 'different chili' and found this recipe. It is the first RR recipe I have tried and it was excellent. I served it to guests for dinner and it was a big hit. A definite keeper.

This is a great chili that incorporates the best of chili, black beans and a great rich flavor! I doubled the batch and added a bag of frozen sweet corn for some more color and southwestern flair. Good stuff!

I followed the advice of another reviewer and added a box of frozen corn in the last couple minutes of simmering. (I made my chili in a dutch oven. I topped it with shredded cheddar cheese and the corn cake. I am not usually one to eat corn cakes but these were so easy and delicious! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I thought everything together was great!

This is definly one of her top receipes. Some of the others are a bit bland (I'm guessing because of the short cook time., but this totally ROCKS!
