and as another reviewer said/did: I combined the meat and sauce, added minced garlic, and my extra seasonings. It's a bit more than a 30 minute meal, but oh well! Also - someone asked about cornichons - they are teeny tiny pickles (dill. When I couldn't find them, I used baby dills and it was perfect. This time, I got actual cornichons from Cost Plus World Market

i think a Cornichon is the nearly-extinct Mouse living in the Sahara Desert. I left that out, and the meal was still a hit!! As others have expressed, I needed to add more flavor to the meat with some more spices than Rachel wanted. Came out tasty.

I like this one. Rachael has all of the great recipes.
What the heck is a cornichon? The Food Network Enciclopidia says pate or beef and fish filets.

I added a lot more seasoning - and cooked it a bit longer, so of course its not the 30 min meal anymore.

    I left out the pickles/mustard.

I added red wine, worchestershire sauce to both the meat and the sauce. I also added minced garlic to the meat with more seasoning - I used the emeril essence seasoning ( homemade of course. I also used green onions in the sauce. Perfecto!

I cooked the sauce first, then in separate skillet did the meat. I added it to the sauce. Tasted great!!

    (served with some garlic breadsticks!

This is easy and super yummy. Every friend who has tried it has insisted they have the recipe.
IF YOU rated this recipe poorly because it was:
    1. Tasteless
    2. Required too much work
    3. Required two pans

    You need to:
    1. Learn how to improvise
    2. Buy chef boyardee
    3. Stop being a lazy fool. Two pans is NOTHING.

    Thanks, Rachel.
