I usually use cream of mushroom soup, but did not have in the pantry, so i tried this recipe. Nice flavor - I added some sherry & Worcestershire sauce to the recipe & substituted venison for the beef. I omitted the cornichons and added lots of mushrooms - yum! A bit of cornstarch at the end thicken up the sauce nicely. I'll make this one again!

I was looking for something quick and easy for dinner one night and me and my husband made this. It turned out so perfect that I had to post a picture of the finished dish on Facebook for my friends to see, lol! Everyone commented that the dish looked good enough to eat right off the computer. Two thumbs up in my book.

I love this recipe. I use chicken instead, with chicken broth, it's still wonderful and easy

Very easy recipe to make in about 30 minutes. I did not add the cornichons.

I used top sirloin instead of filet....just to cut the cost. Still had good flavor. Also added mushrooms and omitted the pickles....the sauce thickened up fine when given time to rest...definitely make the sauce before you start cooking the meat. The dijon mustard adds nice flavor to the sauce. Will definitely make again!

I was disappointed in this recipe because although it only takes 30 minutes it is 30 minutes of active cooking. Not a good recipe if you have children and need to leave the kitchen for any reason. It also requires you to dirty two skillets instead of just one. The flavor was also very one note and the one note was not pleasant. The sauce was very plain which given the work you have to put into it was very disheartening. My toddler ate it but he was the only one and he would eat just about anything that included noodles. We will not make this again.

I could not find the cornichons so I left them out. I added a can of sliced mushrooms (drained. I also used bite size pieces of top sirloin. Next time I think I will use even smaller pieces of meat and only brown the meet and then toss into the sauce as it thickens.
Good eats eather way. Thanks Rachael.
