This was easy and so very flavorful! My husband who dislikes spicy food felt it was too spicy for him; however, he complimented the dish and wouldn't mind eating it again.

I LOVED it and love spicy food. I used 1/4 C. louisiana hot sauce. It could have been spicier, but I was being conservative for "you know who". :

No modifications needed. I also used Sierra Nevada pale ale. Lots of sauce for the rice. OH! and I topped it with the vinegar green beans w/ bacon recipe. Those were AMAZING!

The shimp and rice were delish, and the salsa was OK but the salsa was a little too similar in taste since the same ingredients were in the rice. I found it didn't really add much to the dish except the crunch. In place of the green beans, I made fresh sauteed spinach with a lot of gaaahlic and evoo and mixed it in with the rice. Delish! I also used a really good hot sauce, Chalula I think it's called. I think it really made the shrimp.

I made this shrimp recipe for dinner tonight (omitting the salsa and using a boxed Louisiana rice along with the bacon fried green beans. It was SO delicious and easy! I even managed not to mess up the kitchen. My mother thought it was too spicy, but my father and I thought it was great. I'm sure I would like it just as much with a little less heat though! Like most people I did not add the entire bottle of beer either.

If you're not a stickler for having everything made from scratch, the boxed rice is an excellent shortcut. Since we didn't want the salsa, the only chopping I needed to do for the whole meal was the scallions and the bacon for the green beans!

It don't get easier than that, folks...

I made this recipe for my friends last night. They absolutely LOVED it! Even their little 3-yr old, who is very picky, liked and ate the whole meal.

For me, the salsa with it was ok, but I would probably do without it next time. I love salsa, and have a very good recipe of my own, but just not with the rice and shrimp.

I also made the green beans sauteed with bacon (from her tv show.

    Thanks Rachel!

A delicious and easy dish. I thought it was spiced enough but my husband added more hot sauce. I didn't do the salsa but may next time after reading some other reviews. It didn't need it. It was a little "wet" and I cut back on some of liquids (beer, butter, and lime because it didn't seem to need that much. But a quick and easy way to get that New Orleans feeling.

This dish is great I put a different twist on it. I used plain sticky rice. skipped the scallions. melted butter and mixed it up with some flour to thicken up the sauce and put it over the rice. WE LOVED IT

I love hot, but this had me sweating! I toned down the Tabasco some. It was wonderful!

This recipie is fantastic, very easy, and really flavorful. I made a separate pan with bite size chicken pieces for a friend who can't eat shrimp and it was equally as tasty, and cooked in the same amount of time as the shrimp. Also we chose to add our favorite salsa on top instead of the fresh veggies, so we just cut our veggie amounts in half. This one makes you look like a pro.

It was really good! the recipe was confusing on all the butter! It was really spicy too! A great meal for guests! I would also serve with a nice bread and salad.
