These two items were great together. The bean soup was perfectly seasoned the first time, and the sandwiches tasted great dipped in it. YOU GOTTA USE THE JALAPENO JELLY!! It totally made the sandwich - I wouldn't even consider salsa as a substitute.

Made the stoup for my family and it was a huge hit, even for my dad who normally won't eat black beans. I skipped the jalapenos but did add the hot sauce and it still had qite a kick!! I can"t wait to make it for friends. Next time I will serve it with the sandwiches. Thanks Rachael!!!

Didn't try the sandwich but the soup was awesome. My fiancee thought it was a little too spicy, but I thought it was perfect. Will definitely do it again when the weather turns colder!

The stoup was better the 2nd and 3rd day. It was so easy and fast to prepare, and something different.

    Will make this again.

I thought the stoup was really tasty, even better the second day. I was a little disapointed as it was not as thick as I thought it would be. Next time will mash up more beans or use less chicken stock as I would have preferred it to be a bit thicker.

Loved the stoup- not too spicy but just right, and tsted great but healthy. My kids loved the sandwiches, although my son thought they were too thick.

I only made the Black Bean Soup, BUT it was quick, easy, and delicious. I'm gonna make extra tonight to have all week.
