    I didn't try the sammy's yet. Instead I made the stoup and quesadillas. Great combo.

    My family loved this recipe. To add a bit more to the Southwest flavor, being from Texas and wanting more (flavor that is, I added some pepper jelly. Personally, from Lady MacArthur's site (http://http://www.thepepperlady.com/.

    It was sort of gross and no one in my family liked it. We enjoyed the sandwiches, but the stoup was awful. I really hoped that I would enjoy it. Maybe next time.

    I made only the stoup, very easy & tasty. If you don't like it hot you may not like this so much.

    Hearty with just enough heat. I added some sweet corn off the cobb, which I happen to have in the frig, gave it a little more color and crunch. Definitely a keeper.
