I prepared only the Sweet Pea Risotto part of this meal. Unless you have a commercial stove in your kitchen, there is no way this risotto takes only 22 minutes...it took much longer and I watched it constantly. Be sure to have more than a quart of broth available 'just in case'...I used the entire quart and wished I had a little more to make it creamier. All that said, the end result was tasty and my guests liked it. I might try this again

This was so easy and so tasty, a hit! got the lamb loin chops from C, (real thick so cooked a couple minutes longer, but keep an eye on it. the risotto and sauce were extra tasty. It was the perfect meal. Also made the veggies, couldn't find any zucchini, so made it with mushrooms and baby asparugus, and it was excellent. Perfect!

I only made the lamb with sauce and it was delicious! I do not have a slotted broiler pan so I started by browning both sides of the chops on the stovetop and then popped the skillet into the oven to finish. Sauce was sweet but a perfect accompaniment!

I usually only have lamb when at a restaurant but decided to try cooking it at home. This recipe was easy to follow with the sauce perfect with the sweet cherries and hint of tartness.. At first I had decided just to make the lamb chops having never made risotto before. The risotto was surprisingly easy to make and the hint of mint was perfect for the lamb. I will be making this again.

This was really wonderful & easy to make. I'd leave the mint out of the risotto, though. The lamb doesn't need the mint, and it tastes odd in the risotto. I also pre-seasoned the lamb with sea salt and fresh pepper.

My husband, who is not really comfortable in the kitchen, made this dinner for me (including shopping for ingredients on Valentine's Day. The cherry sauce over the chops was a huge hit-delish!! The risotto was done perfectly and also yummy and he also grilled some vegies while grilling the chops. The whole dinner was wonderful and very unexpected!!

This was fantastic! I will say that there's no way you could make this in under 30 minutes though. It took me an hour, but it was worth it! Made it for a Valentine's dinner at home with my fiance and it did not disappoint. The risotto was wonderful and the lamb with the sauce were amazing. I will make this again, and again and again! Fantastic!

So, I found this recipe here and my boyfriend and I decided to make it for Valentine's Day. Both of our opinions were the same in that, the lamb was tender but a little on the "gamey" side and we would have prefered less mint in the risotto. Other than that, it was a pleasantly prepared dish.

This recipe, is absolutely fantastic. I made it for my boyfriend's birthday, and he just adored it.

Lamb loin chops have a distinct flavor that borders on gamey. And a very chewy texture. It is definitely an acquired taste. I had only had lamb once before and I didn't remember it being particularily wonderful. However the balsamic vinegar mixed with the black cherry completely took out the gamey falvor and softened the meat to a less chewy point.

The risotto...yum. It was absolutely amazing. It made the entire house smell like a 5 star restaurant, and it is by far the best part of this recipe!

I would also like to add that I do not cook often because I am still living at home and that is my mother's favorite thing to do. I suppose I could be considered a novice with regular cooking, even though I am an experienced baker. But, novice as I am, I managed to make it come out wonderful. Really, all you have to do is be patient.

So, all in all, this is a wonderful recipe and I suggest it to anyone!!!

and P.S. ALWAYS make the risotto...It was amazing. :
