This is a GREAT recipe. We grilled nice, thick pork chops instead of the lamb and it delicious with the black cherry sauce. It was the first time I had ever made risotto but, despite what I had heard about risotto being tricky, it was the simplest thing in the world! Rachael's tips made it all very easy. Thanks for a recipe that we will turn to again and again.

Black cherry and black pepper are wonderful on lamb. - The chops should have been seared first and a good creamy risotto takes time, not this jump start recipe. As per usual, these are expensive ingredients for most and the amount of time to make good food is under-exaggerated and "time savers" are made that literally would ruin lovely protein and make for a fatty weird side dish. For shame.

this was just truly awful. The mix of the black cherry preserves and black pepper was just repulsive and ruined good lamb chops. The risotta wasnt bad but it take a lot longer as always. some things cannot rush
