I find the recipe "Black Cherry Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce", to be a miracle of plating and service. The fact that Rachael Ray put together this concoction, only upgrades this recipe for me. She combines many mixtures that are very simple, yet quite tasty. I am of the opinion that this 'recipe review' is supposed feed an example of the base of our recipe. RR never leads us to a dish that won't work for us, it will be yet another way to high lite a delicious combination. We can try the combination, and confirm for ourselves. Perhaps we shall choose a different Alcoholic Liquid. Or, we might wish to switch the sauce from Chocolate to Cherry. Whatever we chose to do, the recipe is a 'Guideline' not a rule written in blood. Thank you Rachael Ray, I always enjoy the openhearted way you share methods for us to follow, and then you suggest we walk on our own way to get the effect we are after! Enjoy!!! :-

Come now, she DID add the chocolate sauce and the whipped cream. Just be thankful she didn't dump a bunch of "EVOO" on it, give it some dumb made-up name ("not quite a cocktail, not quite a sundae--it's a cockdae!", and declare it "YUM-O!"

Are you serious? Her 'recipe' for black cherry ice cream consists of buying black cherry ice cream?

I don't mean to sound hateful, but this is not a recipe, it's a serving suggestion.
