I just baked these amzingly delicous scones. I too had trouble finding out about HOW MUCH BAKE MIXTURE I should use. I used 9 ounces (roughly 2 cups and used just a bit more heavy cream. I cooked them for 15 minutes. They are puffy, spicy, and delicous.

This was quite tasty - my hubby who can gnaw on an entire block of asiago, loved it! And even though I don't like sharper cheeses, I enjoyed it but couldn't eat more than 1 medium sized biscuit at a time bec I found it rather heavy. Our store was out of Jiffy, so we ended up getting Bisquick instead. Just be sure to portion ingredients to the 8 oz size of Jiffy mix. Also, if you are not into peppery taste, you might want to cut back on the pepper - it packs a nice little punch!

These scones were incredibly flavorful. I used 1 cup of Bisquik since I couldn't find the Jiffy mix, and 1.5 tsp of cracked black pepper, and it worked out just right. The flavors are perfect for breakfast and go so well with the salami scrambles! The only thing I would probably differently next time is make smaller scones rather than the large ones. Will definitely make these again!

These were really good, I've made them several times. I cut down on the pepper (about half and I have to cook them about 20 minutes. Also, I saw the episode and Rachael is talking about using the "small boxes" of Jiffy mix, about 9 oz.

    So easy...so delicious!

My hubby is Scottish, so scones in our house is a MUST! But he is always the one to make them and it is an all-day thing. So when I saw Rachael's trick with the biscuit mix and cream...I was in HEAVEN! But I hope HE doesn't see the show or my secret is out! Hee hee... As great as these are, he won't mind either way! Thanks Rach for another goodie!!!

I tried this on my husband for Fathers Day. Even though he was apprehensive while I was preparing it, he went NUTS for it! Definatley a keeper! Thanks Rachel!

Tried these scones twice... the first time I had the wrong amount of mix - I used two cups out of a big box because I could not find a small box of mix in the store. The second time I had the correct amount of mix, but they still came out very dry and I didn't care for the nutmeg in them. I usually love Rachel's recipes, but I wasn't crazy about this one.

I made these last night for my husband and father, and they were a hit! So yummy.

I had to bake them (I made 4 large scones for closer to 20 minutes to get a golden brown color.

What an awesome recipe! Loved it, and will make it again soon for sure.

Read the other reviews and cut back on the black pepper - thank you. I shredded my own Asiago cheese, and combined with the nutmeg (very important to include, these golden delights were a hit. 4 large required 15-17 minutes in our gas oven. The egg wash and sugar topping are important - don't leave them off! My non-stick sheet needed cooking spray to prevent the cheese particles from sticking. I look forward to trying this simple, delicious recipe with other substitutes. This one is a "keeper".

I like pepper, but I thought that this was a bit too much. I would also use more cheese next time too. They weren't bad, but I wasn't that impressed.
