We had a boat party where we loved this recipe.
I made a double batch and had lots left over. Wondering if I can freeze it. :-

I plan to make this for a party on Tuesday, but it looks like you either love it or hate it....lol! I'll give it a try - what's not to like about a bloody mary! If the dip looks too thin, I'll simmer until reduced as one other person suggested, and throw in extra horseradish to spice it up.

The taste was intriguing. So different from the store bought options. The consistency was a little loose for me so, I simmered it on the stove until it was thickened to my liking.

You'd be better off just using a premixed bloody mary mix, it's cheaper and tastes way better, this isnt a winner at all.

This was just a big let down for all. My friend was so excited because she thought we would all love this recipe after she saw Rachel make it, but it was very bland and didn't do the terrific shrimp justice. The vodka was a completely unnecessary gimmick , if you ask me.

I was surprised when it simply tasted like crushed tomatoes inspite of using a fresh jar of prepared horseradish along with the rest of the recipe as written. I even used good quality tomatoes. I quickly read other reviews for help. I ended up using much more horseradish, shire sauce, hot sauce and black pepper. We like extra diced celery for bulk and crunch. I will make it again, but use my adjustments.

I made this for a party, all I can say is this is the "bomb" it is a good this I had extras of the fixings because i had to make more using smaller shrimp to satisfy everyone.
