    It was very good but it took me 30 minutes just to cut and wash and peel everything. Real time, give yourself an hour for this recipe. The results were yummy.

    Recipe did not say to remove bacon after browning. I am sure it will taste better if you sprinkle the bacon just before serving.

    I was extremely surprised at how good the soup was. I had never made a soup that your used oil to brown bacon before, but was amazed at the extra flavot it gave the bacon. All in all I would definately make this soup again and again.

    This soup was a bit disappointing. It was enjoyable, but just lacking a "wow" factor. A little on the bland side.

    I had a leek and wasn't sure what I was going to make when I saw this recipe and decided to try it - I think it's great and I have already made it again (used onion instead of leek because I didn't have leek and it's still yummy. Be sure to use chicken stock, is richer and tastier than broth.
