I usually find RR's recipes at least good, sometimes very good, but this was a real disappointment. LOTS of chopping and the result was flavorless and peculiar in texture. I wouldn't invest the time.

I thought this soup was delicous, I can't say enough about it. I am shocked at some people saying it didn't have any flavor, I thought it was full of flavor. Made it already 2 times this week. Try it, you'll like it!

I added 2 T tomato paste, garlic powder, a pinch of red pepper flakes cuz I like alot of flavor. Also, don't cut up the bacon, you can crumble it on top after the soup is done. It has tons of flavor and is perfect for football games (GO BEARS. My husband LOVED it!!!

I thought this soup was really tasty but would probably only add half the bacon that the recipe calls for because it takes alot of the flavor.

I am a big fan of soup, and this one was sooo delicious. My hubby and I both just loved it! It had been a while since I saw the show, so I was confused that the recipe never calls for removing the bacon, but then at the end calls to add it back in. It was still delicious leaving it in, but would have added a nice crunch had I thought to remove it. I will make this one again and again.

My husband and I really liked this receipt. I never used leeks before and loved the taste. I will make this soup again and use leeks more often. Be sure to take the bacon out before adding the vegetables, I didn't but I added bacon bits to the finished soup when served and it tasted great anyway.

this is a pretty good soup for a fall day. I personally didn't like the bacon - it was to soggy for my liking. However, nothing beats the smell fo bacon cooking. I'll probably substitute with sausage next time. overall, very excellent!

This soup is easy to put together, tastes great, and makes lots of leftovers that just taste better the longer it sits!
