This was a fantastic recipe. I love to cook, and one thing I love to do to relax after work is to cook a fantastic meal for my husband and myself, time irrelevant.

HOWEVER, as I have become a breast cancer patient now, and very fatigued often, and lacking a rich appetite and with taste buds lacking, a 30 minute meal needs to be a 30 minute meal, and taste dynamic--

She nailed it with this recipe!! We LOVED it and the entire meal, potatoes and tomatoes and all---simple, elegant and we both adored it. It was truly a simple, quick meal to prepare. When I am feeling well enough to entertain again, I will serve this to company.

I did extend the cooking time as I do not like highly rare meat, and chefs tend to serve on the rare side..should not have as I think even extending cooking time by 5 minutes would have been more than sufficient if needed at all. However, it was still PERFECT! Dr. T. New Jersey

Despite what Stephanie said I had to try this dish! I don't eat a lot of red meat, however my husband loves his meat and potatoes. I made the entire dish exactly and even had my hubby helped. About (15 min of prep time. So the total meal took us about 45 min. from start to finish. Excellent dish and I will definitely use this dish to entertain with.

Well I saw the show this morning and the posts by Stephanie....and tried it none the less because it looked easy and great.

I was right! It is easy and the Beef Wellington was awesome. We changed the tomato recipe a little by adding mozzarella cheese to it. I thought that was good but we had the wrong size pan and one of the tomatoes fell over, but other than that it was great. No complaints and would definitely have it for guest. It's a good change of pace. I grill steaks all the time and that's awesome but you can't serve steak the same way all the time. I'm glad to have this recipe in my list now.

I watched Rachel on TV earlier this morning when she was making these dishes and I just had to try it for myself. Everything turned out great. The only thing I changed was the cheese to asiago, I myself do not like blue cheese and the asiago on it was awesome! 5 stars for sure on the whole meal!

Stephanie's review goes way past the line of decency. Nasty remarks about a recipe using flippant references to suicide are cruel & show the true nature of Stephanie the poster. I'll be honest & say I haven't tried this recipe yet, giving it 5 stars to help balance the cruel rating. I don't think I'll be able to complete it in 30 minutes(I'm a little slow but there's nothing in the ingredients that would cause the whole meal to taste bad unless you don't like blue cheese & if ya don't lke blue cheese, don't make a meal with it & certainly don't eat it!

I haven't even made this recipe, but the easy beef wellington alone is worth at least 3 stars. I'm not a Rachael defender...but she has done wonders for everyday cooking and popularizing actual home cooked food. Stephanie clearly has a bone to pick...this is not the time or place. Rated a 5 star to counter her 1 star and bring up the average. I will be trying the recipe in the next week or two...I'll come back and post the real results.

I found this recipe new, elegant and delicious tasting!!!! I can't wait to make it for the rest of my family. And people that are so hateful with their comments are not really cooks willing to try and change recipes to suit their tastes...they're just mean and nasty! Thanks Rachael for your great Cooking Spirit!!!!

Wow, that's harsh. I think an "I didn't enjoy this recipe at all" would've sufficed. But I must say that I'm afraid to even try it now.
