Excellent, my guests loved the recipe and asked for the ingredients so that they can add this item to their menu for a great Thanksgiving side. The bourbon, brown sugar, peacans and butter all blended perfectly together.
I did omit the orange juice however and I personally didn't miss that part of the flavor at all. Be sure to use a better qualtiy bourbon!

This is an easy to make adaptation of a southern ingredients (sweet potatoes, pecans, and bourbon. The taste is great.

Some variation on the amounts of the ingredients might be necessary depending on your tastes. The bourbon, brown sugar, and nutmeg all have fairly strong flavors and if you are not particularly fond of one of them, consider reducing the amounts. Also, the amount of salt used greatly affects the flavor of the dish.
