For so little effort, so good! At first I was worried as it was so strong of bourbon, but the alcohol evaporates just enough and imparts a wonderful flavor. It proved to be a huge addiction to all ! I had to make more.

Do you think graham cracker crumbs could be substituted for the vanilla wafers? I gave a three because I haven't tried them yet - Just wanted to post my question.

Hey! after a couple of these cookies, who cares if they are not firm. Seriously, easy to make and a really good taste. I found that chopping the nuts in which you roll the cookie, a little finer made that process much easier.

I almost didn't make these because of the various bad reviews, but these Bourbon Balls are EXCELLENT! We made them last holiday season and gave them away on platters for our neighbors and every neighbor -- every one! -- requested more than 2 per plate this year! Those reviews that complained that they are too strong - well, yes, they are, but alas, they are called Bourbon Balls. If you don't love to drink whiskey or bourbon, you may not enjoy these. If you do, these will be your holiday staple, as they are now in our family.

These mixed well and came together just fine for me. I tried the original bourbon ball and then added some cocoa to it. Both were great. Love the soft texture and sweetness with the warmth of the Bourbon. I used Southern Comfort and I thought it was just perfect. I'm not even a huge fan of Bourbon, especially not straight, but these are a winner in my book.

Gooey, terrible consistency. Tasted good but could not make it presentable. I pitched it. Don't waste your time.

I made this and wow - love them! They were so easy - the worst part was forming them - Rachel is right - get help forming them if you can. I made them bite size rather than so large, but if you do that, then make sure you rough chop the pecans a little smaller so they stick to the smaller bourbon balls easier. This will differently make these a Christmas tradition....

First...if you don't like bourbon or whiskey, you won't like these....because as the title suggests, the bourbon flavor is a prominent part of the recipe!

If your finished Bourbon Balls come out runny, just add more cookies until they are a firmer consistency. The amount of cookie needed seems to change with the type of bourbon. I've had to use up to a full box of Nilla wafers!

    Very tasty!
