This dish is not bad. For me its a little bit too sweet, too much sugar. Anyhow I like the smell after its cooked and I like how the onions or shallots were tasted and displayed. This is my first time cooking radish.

I have been cooking this RR recipe for some time now, however I just started adding other veggies to the mix and is it ever a treat! I add halved brussel sprouts, carrots, peppers, and yellow onion. As Rachel would say...YUMMO!

this is the first time I have ever made anything from RR that no one liked!! We eat all the root veggies, normally have raw radishes in our salads .

What a differnet and unique way to make radishes. My family and I actually enjoyed this. I had a friend over for dinner and I made this dish again and she was surprised that you could cook radishes, she would want the recipe but she doesnt cook, so she's waiting for me to make them again. thanks

ok....so this is really good. However all of you radish lovers need to try this with turnips. I picked radishes out of my garden and decided to add turnips as well since they were ripe and oh my gosh it is so good! I really liked the turnips much more than the radishes. They were more tender and flavorful and I think you all will love them this way too. I followed the recipe exactly except for adding the turnips. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!

i have used radishes in pot au feu for years and nobody knows what they are but they eat them. i am not a big fan of turnips and radishes make a great substitute.

It took longer to reduce down....also make sure the radishes are the same size for even cooking.
