This one was not a winner in my house. It didn't so much taste bad, but it had a gross texture. It was pretty much what it sounds like- bread covered in tomato sauce- which makes it soggy, tomato-y bread. We threw it out and made something else. And my husband made me throw the recipe away. Won't be making this one again.

Had to try this simple but great dish. So easy and inexpensive. Makes a great snack or side dish. Love it!!!

I hate throwing away bread this recipe solved that problem for me!
As far as taste and texture think stuffing with an italian twist!

When I saw this on tv I thought it would be really good, boy that was a mistake. I made it just the way it was showen on the show. I did not like it very much and my fiance liked it even less than me. I think it would be something that you would really have to learn to like.

I am an italian american woman and i have to say that i am too smart to try this ridiculous recipe!!!for starters i'm certainly not going to get a gnocchi recipe from a woman who cant pronounce the word to begin with.second,to the people who are complaining that the bread becomes "mushy" ahhh- have you ever had gnocchis? they're not exactly crunchy. finally,i'm sorry to tell you a good tomato sauce is impossible to complete in thirty minutes. In conclusion my suggestion to you is if your craving gnocchis hit up your favorite italian eatery-but even than your not gettin the authentic ones-hmmmmm maybe try giada de laurentis!!!

I loved this recipe. It was very easy, quick and just darn good. I didn't have day old bread, went out and bought italian bread and had some stale 12 grain bread and added some to it. ummh! IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO darn good. I am single so this type of recipe fit me just fine. KEEP COMING WITH THE 30 MINUTE RECIPES.
