This was easy and good. It was a great way to use up day old (Not stale! bread. I seasoned up the tomato sauce & added onions so it had alot of flavor.
Calling it "gnocchi" is just for fun, I believe, as most people know it is how Rachael likes to play with words.

This was a disgusting mess. The canned toamto sauce overpowered the fresh tomatoes. and in no way shape or form is this "gnocci" it is not a "version" of something just because you name it that. Roast chicken does not become beef stew because it is "my version" there were no elements of gnocci and to suggest using stale bread for anything is gross. FIRM bread is fine, and for those who like bread with tcanned tomato sauce and cheese (and nothing wrong with that! to make this with firm bread would be ok but don't waste the fresh tomatoes in it and don't call it "gnocci" (It could have benefited from some onions and garlic and herbs to compensate for that overwhelming canned tomatoe sauce taste, or maybe use a jarred marinara instead
