You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1/4 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 box chopped frozen broccoli, defrosted and squeezed dry in kitchen towel

Directions

Bring broth and butter to a boil. Add rice and stir to combine. Bring liquid back to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, 15 minutes.

Add bell pepper and chopped, defrosted, drained broccoli. Cook rice with broccoli and pepper another 2 to 3 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

    I loved this recipe I am always looking for a way to jazz up my meals and this was a wonderful way to do it. I just did a few different things added salt to my rice while boiling, using brown rice instead of white rice, and put grilled chicken on top before serving and I had a meal that not only was good to eat but easy to make

    add fresh brocc and pepper &shallots.......don't forget
    most important teriyaki sauce and its awesome side dish....
    kids loved it!
