    I really enjoyed this recipe. The brussel sprounts were nice and tender with a bit of smokey bacon flavor. Even the brussel sprout haters enjoyed this dish! I topped mine with a pat of butter - just for a little extra smoothness.

    I thought it was okay. I did this for thanksgiving dinner. I redid it without the bacon and chicken broth the following week, for Sunday dinner, with the olive oil, butter, sea salt and pepper with a little bit of water and we all liked it better

    lacks pizazz!
    Lose the olive oil and coat the sprouts and the shallot in the bacon grease!
    This dish is missing something and I can't think of what it is missing.

    These are the BEST! They have become a family favorite, and a holiday staple. I add fresh minced garlic...but that's a personal family choice. If you try it, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. p.s.--even people who don't really care for brussel sprouts enjoy this!
