I must say that this is the ONLY way my family will ever eat brussel sprouts. We only ate brussel sprouts from time to time but now we find a reason to eat them just becasuse of this recipe.
Easy and Delicious!!!

I love sprouts - always have. I have never had them like this, though. WOW! Who knew they could taste THIS good? Apparently Rachael Ray did. You have got to try these. And.. as an added bonus.. they are easy and fast to make.

I made this side dish last Thanksgiving and I loved them.It was so busy on Thanksgiving that I didn't have a chance to watch peoples reaction to them. My Grandmother hosts Thanksgiving every year and all the Grandchildren bring a signiture dish. ( I bring 2 or 3 because I love to cook! She always lets us choose what we would like to bring but she personally called and said the family had all requested that I bring this dish again! They want a Brussle Encore! Cool with me! They were great!

It actually sounded interesting when I saw it on the show. I thought what the heck, I'm not a fan of Sprouts but I'll give it a try.
Well, I tried it. It not only was easy to make, it looked good and better yet, it tasted great.

These are wonderful. I add the onion and the sprouts to the bacon fat after cooking the bacon. At the end I also add some grated parmesan cheese before adding the crumbled bacon. My whole family loves it.

My family loves when I make this dish. Even the members who normal do not like Brussels sprouts like them only when they are prepared like this.

Althought the bacon gives the dish a certain appeal for those who like Brussel Sprouts, I'm not sure what advantage there would be to those who either don't like them or who have never eaten them.
I would like to comment that you should not attempt to "soften" the sprouts in oil - they have a tendency to burn which absolutely ruis the dish - even a slight browning gives the sprouts a burnt taste. Instead caot and warn them in the oil, but braise them to the tenderness you desire in the liquid before serving.

I'm not a fan of brussel sprouts however my family requests it every 2 weeks! It helps also if they aren't humongous. They are a little easier to stomach if they are baby brussel sprouts.

This is a perfect recipe for brussel sprouts. I was trying to get my son to eat them and he loved them.
