This was delicious. I also threw in some garlic and thyme. It came out wonderful!

I like brussel sprouts but I am always looking for a new recipe. This is the best recipe for brussel sprouts that I have ever made.

Okay, this was really good. But, add bacon to anything and it will taste good. I cooked this according to the recipe but substituted a pressure cooker for the last step, taking about 7 minutes off the cooking time and ensuring my overly large sprouts were tender. Next time, I will wipe the skillet clean of the bacon grease, and add more olive oil to make the dish healthier.

We tried this recipe and loved it! My husband was reluctant to ever try brussel sprouts again (bad memories from childhood dinners!, but he loved this dish so much that he had second helpings! It's a very easy recipe to make and definitely one we will make again.

I have used this recipe many times and I love it .. Brussel sprouts are my favorite veggie. On occasions I have changed the recipe to see how it would come out . I omitted the evoo and used butter and instead of salt and pepper I used sazon and adobo (goya and allowed a glaze to form on the sprouts , its awesome! Also instead of using pork bacon I have used turkey bacon or turkey ham and added a little carmelized onion ..... The kids even ate it and that is very rare in my household....

i'm a huge brussel sprout fan, so i was excited to try this recipe. i substituted fried bacon w/ hormel real bacon pieces && it was still delicious! also, i used a chicken bouillon instead of stock or broth. it let me control the flavor && strength. there were no leftovers! i'll continue to make this recipe, even if i skip the bacon from time to time. (not very figure friendly i think the idea of boiling them in the stock is brilliant, adds so much flavor! try this one tonight!

We love brussels sprouts anyway but I'd learned to add brown sugar (or nutmeg to eliminate bitterness when cooking. Not needed here! The sweet shallot (and I added a couple sliced cloves of garlic did fine and the chicken broth finished them up nicely with a little extra flavor. Great recipe and even my young boys got them down thanks to the bacon.

Made these on Christmas. As I have only one oven, and it was busy with the roast, I did all my sides on the cook top. While I normally like my veggies roasted, this was a really great alternative method with good (not overwhelming flavor from the bacon and stock.
