Delicious! However, my potatoes took more than twice as long to cook so definitely take that into consideration when timing your other dishes.

Huge hit with our family! This is now the "go-to" potato recipe in our home.

After reading all the post and altering the recipe I think I got it. Cook potatoes for longer 20-30 minutes turning so they cook evently. I added more broth and water as the level got low and potatoes weren't done. I didn't have enough room in the pan I cooked them in to "sqish" them all so I used it and also a clean fry pan. The potatoes didn't stick to the clean pan but stuck quite a bit to the one I boiled the potatoes in so I would suggest either using another pan or clean out the original cooking pan. I used butter and olive oil in both to fry them. To make sure they were crispy I asked my son (who goes to culinary schoolif there was anything I could do, he suggested sprinkling a little flour on both sides as they fry. Worked great. Thanks Josh. Everyone like them. Couldn't get my star rating to work so if it didn't go through I gave it 4 stars.

I think you need to use a nonstick pan for these. I saw the show and she had a hard time mashing them and I had a very hard time. Good recipe if you get it right!

I don't know what happened here, but all the broth was gone (and I added more than the recipe called for and my potatoes still weren't cooked through. They also stuck to the bottom of the pan and didn't look anything like Rachaels. I just don't think it worked at all.
