I made the buttered beets only. I did add sliced onions to the pan. It was wonderful!!

A classic, peas and onions, quick and easy in the microwave too! I have made the beets for years with one added ingredient...I cook sliced onions in the butter before adding the beets. My husband and I have loved it for years. Great color on a plate too! It is a nice yummy addition. I never thought to put parsley in, hmmm, gotta try it, Rachael!
