    My hubby and I decided to try this recipe...we both love pasta and cabbage...should be good, right? Well, NO it wasn't. Very blah and unpleasant overall. We were very disappointed.

    Everyone loved it. I adjusted the cooking time of the past accordingly. Just be careful to not use too small of a pan! Yeah, makes it a little tough to work. I added some fresh parsley to add some color and my husband added a bit of tobasco, because that is what he does, and everyone enjoyed a lovely meal. There was very little mess to clean up afterward and I'm loving that!

    This is a very tasty dish and I will definitely cook it again. But the cooking time for the cabbage should be shortend.5 minutes is too long, it becomes mushy.

    I was completely surprised at the awesome flavor this packed. My daughter asked me to pack Cabbage and Straw in her thermos for lunch at school. I will keep this recipe for many years.

    We tried this several months ago and now we make it regularly. The only thing we change is instead of Romano cheese we use a package of Italian blend cheese.

    I really wasn't sure this meal was going to be a hit in my household. I never ate much cabbage and my kids are picky eaters. However, the combination of pasta, potatos,cabbage and, of course, tons of cheese made this dish an instant hit. I have even had it requested by my mother-in-law...
    now that is saying something!!!

    Sorry, this just did not turn out good. It was very bland and the sauce was more like a paste. I generally like Rachel's recipes, so I'll keep trying!

    The recipe sounds odd, but it is really very, very good!! We have made this a number of times and there is rarely anything left over.

    My fiance' and I were very disappointed with this recipe. The fresh sage was WAY too overpowering- you could barely taste the cabbage.
