This turned out mighty tasty as a side dish. I used a 4 cheese blend (comprised of Parmesan, Asiago, Aged Provolone and Romano cheese instead of just Parmesan and added a tsp each of fresh chopped basil and oregano to add more flavor and compliment the squash and chicken that was served with it. Tricolor orzo was substituted for a more colorful presentation too.

    This recipe is a keeper!

This is a great side. It was very easy too. My husband loved it. Next time I will add some veggies, as some of the previous reviewers did.

I figured my husband and I would like this, but I really tried it for my very picky daughter. I used mostly asiago cheese and added a little mozzarella instead of the parm/reg. I tasted the parm/reg that I had and it seemed too sharp and salty for her. It came out great and much to my surprise, she actually ate a few bites!

Great and easy recipe. I did have to add extra broth.

I added some veggies [sliced mushrooms & zucchini] plus a teaspoon (or two of red pepper flakes for a kick ... It's was amazing: for the first time to the fifth time, since there was a lot for leftovers!

All in all, very highly recommended for a quick & easy side-dish or main.

This recipe was really good...I added a few things to help spice it up a little or else I thought it might have been a little boring. I cut up some cherry tomatoes I had laying around, put in some frozen brocolli, I also cut up some leftover baked chicken I had in the fridge. These things added not only great color but made it a complete meal. Enjoy!!

My husband and I love this dish! We eat it alone as a side dish or add some shrimp, tomatoes, and peas to make a main dish. It tastes "bad" for you, but it's quite light and delicious!

This was a terrific side dish....I found it a bit gummy but that is my only complaint. Will make again.....
