This is my go-to chicken and dumplings recipe. It is very easy to make and is not too time-consuming. I would not change a thing!

This recipe was amazing!!!I made it for my husband and he told me that it was the best that he ever had tasted. I added more vegetables than the recipe called for and some garlic. I will definitely be making this again!!

I've been using this recipe for 5 years now and every winter when I was in college in the NC mountians, I would make it when we were snowed in with power. I tried it by what Rachel Ray put, but I prefer to use chicken breasts from the meat department. I also tried the jiffy mix dumplings but a roommate suggest getting frozen biscuits because the cook faster or something. The Recipe still came out great and all the seasoning for dead on. It made about 4 or 5 amount it was listed for, it was great!!!

First time making chicken and dumplings - ever.
It was so easy and delicious.
I have always been intimidated by dumplings. They turned out perfectly!
Thank you for such a wonderful "comfort food" recipe - I needed it!

This is an excellent recipe that you can easily tweak to your liking. Will definitely make this again.

Added some garlic, a little vegetable broth and some thyme. . . . used Bisquick cheddar garlic biscuits.

    Yummy!

This was my first time making chicken and dumplings. I adjusted the recipe a little bit. I added 3 cloves of garlic, added 2 more cups of stock, left out the peas because my husband hates them, and added fresh rosemary to the biscuits instead of parsley. This was a HUGE hit! My husband was jamming the dumplings into his thermos for work the next day!

This recipe was easy and delicious. I made the following healthy adjustments which worked excellently: I doubled the carrots, celery, and peas, and I used 3/4 whole wheat biscuit mix with 1/4 regular biscuit mix. I also cooked the chicken and dumplings for a whole twenty minutes instead of ten...the biscuits became soft and juicy!

I have been using this recipe (or variations on the theme for a very long time. I might use any chicken cooked and available including quick roasted chicken tenders served on top of soup. It's a great, quick, delish base recipe for chicken/noodle soup using egg noodles. My grandbabies love it! Tonight, I added a half can of condensed cream o chic and a bulb of roasted garlic. (forgot the potato OH WOW was it ever yummy. My husband loves me today.
