I saw this recipe, and had wonderful memories of childhood. Decided to cook it the same day. It turned out excellent, had wonderful flavor, and tasted better than I remember. THANKS RACHEL RAY!

This recipe was excellent! I omitted the celery, bay leaf and poultry seasoning. I used my own combination of seasoning and I used Bisquick instead of Jiffy. My husband is not a fan of boneless white meat and he really enjoyed this recipe. Will make this again for sure!

Love this recipe - so much I've made the dish twice this week! I added a bit more vegetables than what the recipe called for, and the supermarket where I live is very small and only had Swanson's canned chicken broth (used 3 cans and Bisquick biscuit mix, but everything turned out TASTY!!!!!!! I did make the mistake of putting the peas in right away with the other vegetables in the beginning instead of adding them later, so by the time it was done my peas split open and were a little mushy.
It's just my boyfriend and I here and the recipe makes quite a bit of food so we have had his parents and my mom and brother over for supper and everyone really enjoyed this!
Will make again and again! Thank you Rachel Ray!

I have been making this regularly for about a year and my family LOVES it! It is easy to play around with for those who like some adventure with their cooking. I have used creamed soups and gravies to help thicken it, and also play around with the spices. I have used Indian seasoning and spanish seasoning like Saz'on! The reseults are equally as Yummy as the original!

Omitted the peas. Used Bisquick instead of Jiffy (2 cups Bisquick and 2/3 cup milk. I couldn't believe how quick everything went together. This is a great find for an everyday comfort food. YUM!

Made this for dinner tonight last minute it was awesome! I have been looking for a good recipe for Chicken & Dumplings and this was very easy. It tasted even better than it smelled. I added cream of chicken and a touch of heavy cream. I will be cooking this over and over. Perfecting this recipe:

ive never tried to make chicken and dumplings because i thought it would be too much work for just soup. i never follow a recipe to the "t". i added a cup more of broth, more celery and peas, and instead of the home made dumplings that sounded like too much work i added Gnocchi in the last 5min of cooking. it was amazing. my boyfriend said that he liked the gnocchi just as much as any dumpling!!! thank you rachael!!

This is the perfect meal for cold winter evenings but it's so delicious I make it in the dead of summer! Be warned...it's not a true 30 minute meal and generally takes upward of 45 minutes to make.
