This was great and simple, unlike other recipes that have you fry the chicken, cook it, then de-bone it. Used a can of peas instead of frozen. This one is a keeper. Yummo!

So simple! I followed the alterations of "samovila" who used shredded rotisserie chicken and Bisquick. Both made a super easy recipe even easier! Wish I could upload a photo because it LOOKED fantastic when I uncovered it at the end. Dont know if it's better than my grandma's, but is definitely better than the one at Cracker Barrel! Dont skip the fresh parsely in the dumplings.

I don't cook if it does involve a microwave, but I wanted to try and make something homemade for my family and this was such an easy recipe to follow for me. My family and I loved it!

Absolutely delicious chicken and dumplings recipe. I improvised only slightly-- I used shredded cooked chicken (leftover from a whole roasted chicken I bought at Costco, left out the peas (my husband doesn't like them, added mushrooms. I also made Bisquick dumplings since that's what I had (2 c Bisquick mixed with 2/3 c milk. It came out perfectly. My husband even requested that I make this every time we leftover Costco chicken! Really, really tasty comfort food.

Needs to cook longer so the vegetables become tender, but I understand Rachael wanted to get it done in under 30 minutes. The consistancy was not nearly as rich and creamy as I like it. The proportions of meat and vegetables were right-on and the flavor was pretty good. A little more flour next time and it should be really good.

Delicous!! Quick and easy prep. I also, took the advice of other raters and used bisquick and milk for the dumplings. Also, for those who want the juice (pot liquor less dense, add a can of chicken broth and this makes it extra delicous! Enjoy !!!

This was amazing! I followed the recipe exactly except no bay leaf and I used 1.5 cups of bisquick and 1/2 cup of milk for the dumplings. I will be making this again! Delicious!
