    Really really good - hubby is a huge stew fan, and he loves this one. I've substituted black beans before too (as another reviewer mentioned and it came out very good!

    My family enjoyed this stoup. I used uncured chorizo sausage and removed from its casing before browning it. I omitted the tabasco so the kids wouldn't say it was too spicy. As with most things made with tomato, I think it tasted better the next day.

    I threw all the ingredients into my slow cooker this morning & it turned out great!
    I did cut the liquid (chicken stock by about half. I also could not find fire roasted tomatoes, so I used regular diced tomatoes with green chiles. My husband thought it was a great SuperBowl Sunday dinner!

    This was fantastic, great for a tailgate party too.
