Wonderful! I did'nt change a thing. But if you need more vegtabes to thicken it increase the frozen mexican peppers, corn, black bean seasoing. I made this soup so...................many times. It freezes well. Thanks FoodNetwork. Thomas. WA.St. 2012

Fabulous! I should disclose I tweaked a couple things- I used steak fingers in place of the chicken, and added the lime juice, green onions and cilantro into the soup as well. I would recommend crushing the tort chips on TOP of the soup after dishing up cause they got soggy instantly once the soup is poured over them.

Absolutely wonderful, easy and so easy to customize, as someone else posted. I used boneless chicken thighs. I agree the chicken could be shredded or cut into bite size pieces. Anything will work. Any type of vegetables could be cut and added.

This soup is so easy and delicious! I used a rotisserie chicken and once I sauted the onion and peppers, I put it all in a crockpot and let it simmer - its great for snacking on throughout the afternoon and evening!

This recipe was amazing! I did make a few variations to it, I omitted the bell pepper, I used a poblano pepper instead of a jalapeno (my kids don't like things too spicy, I used queso fresco instead of the cheese recommended and I made guacamole and used that instead of just avocado. I also topped it with sour cream, which helped cut out the overwhelming tomato flavor-when I make it again, I will cut down on the amount of tomatoes I add. All in all, this recipe is one of my favorites...Rachael hasn't let me down yet, all of her recipes that i have tried are fantastic!

Loved this recipe so much I made it twice in one week. Served at a football party and it was a big hit! Definately a little bland if you don't put the toppers of green onion and cilantro on but I added a dollop of sour cream and it was delish!!!

Okay. Would rather eat a fajita though. I think maybe the seasoning isn't quite right and that perhaps if the chicken was marinated it would be better. Have other soups I enjoy more.

Tried this a few days ago with all ingredients just as listed. The soup was pretty filling, but the taste was just alright. I have an ethnic palate, perhaps it's just me, but I didn't get that punch in flavors I was looking for. It just felt like one big bunch of ingredients thrown into the pot and simmered together with flavors not in proportion.
