During the show Rachel says Tomatillos are not related to Tomatoes, and that they are related to gooseberries. This is false! Good recipe though! :

My husband and I love this recipe! I made changes to the recipe to our liking. I only use 1 lb of ground chicken, since it's only the two of us we don't need two pounds of chicken. I only add one cup of broth so it won't be too soupy. I use sour cream and I'm not a huge fan so I take four table spoons and mix it with everything before baking so it has a creamier consistency. I use light tortilla chips since we're on weight watchers and it's hard to find multi-grain where I live. We put our chips around the side of the bowls when we serve them so the chips aren't soggy. If you're on weight watchers this is a good recipe - only 8 points with one serving on chips!! This is a great recipe that I'll be making for a long time. Thank you, Rachael!!

I made this several times and served it as a dip at parties with the scooped tortilla chips on the side instead of crumbled at the top. Super easy and everyone loves it. It's also really great leftover,

I loved how easy it was to make. Instead of dealing with the tamatillos, I just bought a jar of salsa verde, which is tamatillos basically. It turned out great!

I made this with ground sirloin instead of chicken. Couldn't find poblanos so used green bell peppers, and sour cream instead of creme fraiche. I omitted the stock altogether after reading about it being too soupy. I seasoned the meat with salt as it browned, and added more salt and some pepper after adding the tomatillos to the skillet. Everyone loved it and went for seconds, even thirds! Thanks, Rachael!

My husband and I really enjoyed the end product! It definitely took us longer than 30 mins and it came out watery as others described so we just simmered it a lot longer than 10 mins. We also use ground beef since that is what we had on hand. We also searched for days for tomatillos and poblanos... but it was worth it! We will make it again sometime and try it with the ground chicken and less chicken stock.

This was delicious and easy to make. I switched out the Creme Fraishe to sour cream (less expensive and the chips for regular tortillos and it was "yummo" !! A definate keeper.

This is an awesome quick alternative to chicken enchiladas--all the flavor with none of the fuss! The homemade tomatillo sauce put this one over the top.
