We were guests where this was served last night and both my husband and I thought it was wonderful. Could't wait to get home, look up recipe and go shopping for the ingredients. My husband wants to know why we can't have it all the time and not just at Christmas! Can't wait to try it myself.

I didn't really need another red pasta dish....Having said that, though, this was excellent. Very easy and nice blend of flavors. Nice step up from the usual thin sauce my husband and I make. Froze half of it.
This is my second Rachael recipe - and both I've rated a 5. (Tangy Cherry Chicken was the other. Look forward to trying more recipes.

I made this last year at Christmas for my entire Italian family and they loved it. Made it again last night and got rave reviews again. I did not have veal so used pork and ground beef. The longer it cooks the better. Fresh ingredients are key so go all out.

Very easy to make, tastes great, and always a crowd pleaser anytime of the year. Thank you Rachel as usual you taught me a new quick and enjoyable meal.

like the different flavours from and are not overwelmed by one. nice balance. Also, I have followed your method of cooking and it does save time. (ex. the veggies are cut during the cooking.

I agree that you can skip the EVOO, as the meats do render enough fat. I added a 10-oz can of tomato paste, an additional t. beef bouillon, and 1/2 C. sugar, and let the sauce simmer for 2 hours or so, given the other comments. I'll never use another recipe for pasta sauce!

This was so yummy! A great change from regular spaghetti! I couldn't find the pancetta or the meatloaf mix so I just used the hot pork and hamburger. It was awesome like this so I can't wait to use all the right ingredients!
Racheal you've done it again!
Thanks!

This recipe is easy to prepare and even easier to eat. It's a solid, deep flavored sauce. Although it can be ready in 30 minutes, it improves with at least 1 hour of simmering.
