I must say, I wanted to read the comments of others who had made this sandwich for dinner tonight and to share mine; unfortunately, all but one were by viewers who haven't made the recipe but who feel it necessary to demean the host--a sad state of things in our society. I find RR enthusiastic, creative, and hard working, and many of her recipes are now family favorites. With that said, this sandwich was excellent--flavorful and satisfying, fun to eat. My husband absolutely enjoyed it. I do agree with another viewer that chiabatta bread, ours anyway, was somewhat bulky. We will definitely make this again for an easy supper but perhaps try it on a split loaf of regular Italian bread. I'll check back and see what others say about the bread, those who actually make the recipe.

We made this sandwich tonight and felt that the ciabatta bread overpowered the filling. Otherwise it was good.

OK....so I will try this today, tomorrow...whenever, it did look good on her show. I must say, I am just an ordinary person (not a hater but I agree with just about everyone here regarding RR. Her head has got WAY too big, her voice and the way she talks does get on my nerves and she dose talk down to us I think, as if she knows it all and by the way who cares what her husband likes!! also I hate when she say "sammies" grow up!! I agree with null and to Terri, you must be blond, if you rated this, you also could get the potato recipe on this web site.. really? Or did I miss something...anyway that's me with my opinion...go ahead...BASH ME TOO!!

Dear Terri, the potato recipe is also provided for this episode. Just click on "Sofa Night" above, and you'll get both recipes listed.

This recipe is NOT something that should be claimed by RR. Who hasn't made at least a version of it. To claim this as one of her recipes is cheating, but she is very good at that. You also have to love her implying that if you don't like everything she does, you are not normal. I don't know why she can't respect people, as well as not be such a know-it-all.
