Full of flavor and chunks of clams, potatoes and bacon. What more can you ask for? It is very easy to make.

I didn't think I could make chowder...cooking with milk is touchy. This was a quick and easy recipe which turned out to be FANTASTIC. I used 2 cans of white crab meat and 1 can of clams and I am very pleased with the outcome. Thank you Rachael for making cooking good meals easy!!

This clam chowda is fantastic. It has become one of our families favorites. They beg for this meal. It is also our new "New Years Eve" tradition.

One suggestion. Brown the bacon before adding the butter.. and if you are like my husband.. the more bacon the better!!

    Enjoy !!

I never thought making a homemade soup would be this easy, and it is so good. Definetly better than canned soup. It's the best clam chowder I've had. Will make again!

I made the ham salad in literally under 5 minutes. It was a little dry though so I added some mayo on the english muffin before toasting. With the chowda...I grated a real potato instead of using frozen hashbrowns and it turned out a little crunchy. I'd recommend adding the potato, cooking it 15 minutes and THEN adding the clams. Will definitely make again.

Since I am not a fan of deviled ham, I skipped that part of the recipe. Now, the clam chowder...although NOT authentic was very awesome! I didn't use hot sauce because I am pregnant and prone to heart burn. I used dry thyme instead of fresh, but next time I'll use fresh. And, I used a little bit more flour and butter to make a thicker roux. The soup was thick and delicious! My husband said the seasoning was perfect and he loved it. Will make it again!
